Welcome to My World
About Me
- DD
- I was born & raised in Vancouver, BC but now live in suburban Kirkland, WA. I love adventure although I seem to be more cautious since having kids. Scuba diving, sky diving, two safaris in Africa, backpacking Europe, soul-searching in Israel, and the list goes on, have all been in my distant past. Now, my life is about family and raising my kids to love God, love people and serve the world. I have got one talented husband, one angel child, one spirited child, and a large, supportive extended family. Life is good.

P!nk - Raise Your Glass
My new fave song. Some parts in the video can be crude...but the song is catchy!

Rock the Runway
Today was the Cookie Lee Spring/Summer 2011 Regional Launch in Bellevue. We got to see all the new bling and had training from fabulous trainers. A highlight for me was that I got to ROCK THE RUNWAY for doing Career Sales of $25,000. What a feeling that was! (Here is a picture of me - it's a retake as I didn't have my camera when I actually did it.)
(If anyone actually reads my blog, and is interested in knowing more about my business or buying some bling, go to my website at www.cookielee.biz/deannawoo.)

Jaclyn's Pressed Handstand
All About Madison
This week is "All About Madison" at Overlake Christian Preschool. She told the class how old she is (4 1/2), what her favourite colour is (purple), her favourite animal (lion), her favourite food (spaghetti), her favourite place (Disneyland) and what she wants to be when she grows up (Princess Jasmine). Her teacher also read her new favourite book that she got for Christmas called "Look at Me" by Robert Munsch. The main character in that book is named Madison!

Dear Jaclyn.
You have been a fantastic kid all year long! I have watched you at your gymnastics, swimming, and new school. And I was so happy to see you have fun at Disneyland too. Isn’t it great? I think it is almost as fun as my workshop at the North Pole. I was especially pleased with how good you are with your friends – old and new. See, I AM watching you all the time.
I am glad you have been so good because this means I can give you a special new toy from my workshop for your Christmas present. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Hey. And thank you for the orange snack. It was great of you to think of that. I really liked it because everyone has been giving me milk and cookies so I got too full.
Merry Christmas. Tell your mom and dad and sister that I love them too.

Dear Madison,
I have had such a good time watching over you this past year. You are growing up so much … and have been such a good girl, even though you told your mommy to close the car window on your JeJe’s hand! Please don’t do that. You have to remember to love you sister, even when she makes you mad sometimes, because she will be your best buddy for the rest of your life. Just like your mommy and daddy.
You are one of the most loving people that I know. I hope you stay very happy and keep laughing because everyone loves you! Have a nice Christmas and I hope you like Santa’s present to you to do special art.
Ho Ho Ho!
Love,
Santa

Snow Bunny
Sense of Accomplishment
This picture says it all. Jaclyn who is typically even-tempered, really expressed her happiness on her ski accomplishments after 3 days of lessons at Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver. By the end of the 2nd day, she was already doing runs and able to use the rope tow without assistance. She has no problems doing snowplow turns and traversing with skis parallel. She caught on really well and was the best student in her group. Way to go, Jaclyn!
